Jn-Bertrand Contina is completing a PhD degree in Plant Science at the University of Idaho and joined the GLOBAL project in August 2016 to work on developing a system model for Globodera risk assessment. His previous research was focused on biological control of plant pathogens using antagonistic microorganisms.
Contina received his BS in Environmental Science from Escuela AgrÃcola Panamericana, Zamorano in Honduras in 2008, and later received his MS in Soil Science at the University of Idaho in 2016. Prior to join the University of Idaho in 2014 as a graduate student, he served as a postharvest research assistant at the University of Florida, forestry instructor in Honduras, and farm manager in the Dominican Republic.
